PNWedding was born from the idea that we are proud of who we are, where we live and love every detail of this corner of the world. This shoot by Paul and Sara Photography embodies so much of what and how we love in the Upper Left.
The day began with the four of us (Diana, Alston, my husband Paul and myself) hopping into a car and stopping by Costco. Gotta fill up on their yummy food and fuel! Here's a fun fact, Diana is Paul's sister. So we had the pleasure of taking the engagement photos of one of our best friends/sister. We left costco and made our way up to Artist Point, Mount Baker, about a 3 hour drive North from where we live. Artist point is Diana's "mountain crush" as she calls it. She has been there numerous times, and is absolutely in love with the place. It only seemed fitting to take their engagement photos there. The weather was perfect, no rain in sight for once. We played games and listened to music all the way there only to arrive and see that the path to Artist Point was already closed off for the season. We were also battling the light, since it was fading quickly. We decided to make the absolute best of it (is there any other way?) I think the result was pretty spectacular. The lake was gorgeous, the mountain was showing off, and we all couldn't have been happier to be in the great PNW.
What is the story you want told from this day?
how much joy there is in love, people and nature. Things don't always go the way they are planned, but if you think outside of the box a little and have an awesome outlook on the shoot, it will turn out great.
